If you are a 6th grader interested in athletics next year – you will need a physical form.  They are available online or in the office.   

Attention 6th graders: The Jr. High is offering summer meetings for journalism.  If you’d like to be part of the JH Times next year, information is available in the office.

 Attention 4th, 5th and 6th grade boysInformation is available in the office and online for summer boys’ basketball camps. Registration is due by May 30th.

Parents must come and pick up their child’s left-over medication here at school.

STATE LAW prohibits the school from sending medication home with students.  No over-the-counter or prescription medications will be sent home with a student. 

 Please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medications by the last day of school.  Medications, which are not picked up May 23rd, will be destroyed by the Health Services staff.  Please contact Mrs. Pence with any questions.

Lady Cougar Basketball Camp Registration Forms are available in the office.  The camp will be held at the GC Fieldhouse from May 29th-June 1st.  For a $30.00 fee, participants will receive a camp T-shirt and basketball.  Registrations should be turned in as soon as possible to the front office

In the next few weeks, 6th graders will be learning about Greenfield Central Junior High School.

May 10th, Mr. Olin will meet with students during their science classes to talk with them about the school and expectations. On May 15th, students will travel to GCJHS to tour the school and hear the 7th grade band and choir perform. They will have the opportunity to audition for choir and sign up for band. Mr. Poncar and Paige’s Music will be at GIS for students to try instruments on May 16th. A parent meeting will be May 21st at 7pm at the junior high for interested band parents.

Attention 6th grade girls!

GCJHS Dance Team Workshops will be held April 9, 11, and 12 from 6:30 – 8:30PM in the GCJHS Gym.  Please bring your application and parent consent form with you.  Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.  You must have a physical on file or bring a copy to workshops.

 

Auditions will be April 13 from 6-9PM in the GCJHS Gym.  Auditions will be closed to parents and to the public.
