­­­On Monday, March 12, the Greenfield-Central Board of School Trustees approved funding full day kindergarten for all students entering kindergarten in the 2012-13 academic year. 

  Remaining Round-Up Kindergarten times and locations are listed below.  You may attend a Round-Up at another building if the time for Weston does not work for you

• April 12 – J. B. Stephens Elementary  8:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M

• April 13 – Weston Elementary   8:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M

In addition to the dates and times listed above there will be an evening session at J. B. Stephens on April 12, from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.

v  State law requires that each child entering kindergarten in the fall of 2012 be five years old by August 1, 2012.  Please bring the child’s official birth certificate for age verification, as well as a current immunization record.

v  Families may attend Kindergarten Round-Up at a school other than their home school, if necessary. 

If you know any families with five year olds, please let them know that a local educational sorority, Alpha Delta Kappa, and the Hancock    County Public Library are sponsoring a free “Jump Into Kindergarten” workshop for families with children entering kindergarten this August.  It is on Saturday, April 21^st from 9:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. It will offer all kinds of stations on pre-kindergarten skills and several give-aways.
